Community Service
The Massage Therapy Foundation believes that massage therapy should be accessible to everyone. Our Community Service Awards deliver massage to underserved populations all over the world.
To date we have granted over $646,000 to 140 different Community Service Awards worldwide, and served diverse populations ranging from prisoners transitioning back to society, to children orphaned by the Japanese tsunami, to farm laborers in Central Mexico. The Community Service Awards also provide valuable data on special populations and health resource disparities. This information can serve our profession in other capacities.
