Free Research Webinar from NCBTMB and MTF

The Massage Therapy Foundation and the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) are excited to offer a free 2019 Research Webinar Series. Join us to learn more about the definition of research, its impact on the profession, and what resources are available to help you better engage. The first webinar took place on February 28, 2019. The free 2019 NCB/MTF Webinar Series will include topics such as:

The first webinar explores why research is essential to the practice of massage therapy and discusses the importance of publishing massage research in peer-reviewed journals where it can be shared with health care professionals from other disciplines.

The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) is an independent, private, nonprofit organization founded in 1992. The mission of NCBTMB is to define and advance the highest standards in the massage therapy and bodywork profession. In support of this mission, NCBTMB serves the profession through Board Certification, Specialty Certificates, an Approved Provider Program, and an Assigned School Code Program. The Massage Therapy Foundation is a 501(c)3 providing support to the massage therapy profession. Since 1990, MTF has provided over $1 million in research grants studying the science behind therapeutic massage. The Foundation founded and publishes an open-access, peer-reviewed scientific journal and provides many educational resources for massage therapists, educators, and students.
