MTF’s 2022 #RunningForResearch Team Has Been Selected

Massage Therapy Foundation Selects Running Team for 2022 Boston Marathon®

(Evanston, Ill., January 28, 2022) The Massage Therapy Foundation (MTF) announces its 2022 Boston Marathon Team MTF—Running for Research team members: Nancy Anderson Dollinger, Stacey Breslin, Lauren Hirsch, and Sarah Lau-Melby. The event will take place on April 18, 2022.

Nancy Anderson Dollinger, Bismark, ND, is a Licensed Massage Therapist who will be running her first full marathon. She ran her first race after 50 years old and looks forward to channeling her love for running to support MTF as well as her clients.

Stacey Breslin, Schuylkill, PA, has been a Licensed Massage Therapist, personal trainer, and health coach since 2004 and owns her own massage therapy clinic. She has run seven half marathons and her first 26.2 mile race will be in Boston.

Lauren Hirsch, Carmichael, CA, is a recent graduate of National Holistic Institute and has been a Licensed Massage Therapist and trained Neuromuscular Therapist for two years. Lauren is involved in theatre in Sacramento and this will be her first full marathon.

Sarah Lau-Melby, Holmen, WI, is an athlete who has run marathons in 32 states and has the goal of running one in all 50! She is a fitness/yoga trainer and Licensed Massage Therapist who combines her love for fitness and massage therapy at the studio that she owns.

Team MTF – Running for Research will be raising money and creating awareness for the Massage Therapy Foundation. Over the past nine years, this program has raised a total of $481,015 for the Foundation. This year, the MTF Running for Research Team has a goal of raising $54,000.

For 37 years, John Hancock has been the principal sponsor of the Boston Marathon. Each year John Hancock donates guaranteed running spots in the prestigious Boston Marathon to select nonprofits in order to raise money for their causes. Last year, John Hancock-sponsored runners raised more than $10.7 million for over 140 different organizations. The Boston Marathon ranks behind only the Super Bowl as the largest single-day sporting event in the world for media coverage.
