Hi! I am Stacey Breslin and I am running for massage therapy research. I am 36 years old and I live in Pennsylvania with my husband (John), our two children (ages 6 and 2), and our fur children, two dogs (Dallas and Scruffy—both 14!).

I have spent half of my life so far as a Massage Therapist. I graduated in 2004 and worked several other jobs while building up my clientele base. In 2011, I decided to do massage full time and I opened my own business one year later. I have now reached 10 years in business and I am currently in the process of expanding my business with fitness classes. I have been a Certified Personal Trainer and Health Coach since 2018, received my

Pound Pro certification in 2019, and I am now working toward becoming a yoga teacher.

When asked how long I’ve been a runner, I never know how to respond. I’ve always enjoyed running. I would say that I started to become more serious about it in 2008 when I got my Labrador Retriever. He can no longer run with me but I have many stories from our early days of running together. I ran my first 5k race in April 2012 for breast cancer awareness. It was a time in my life that was full of change. While getting my business up and running, my grandmother fractured her femur. It was a blessing in disguise because we then found out that she had cancer. Running has helped me get through many stressful times.

Massage Therapy and running are a big part of who I am. Thanks in part to the Massage Therapy Foundation, massage therapy research has advanced so much since I started 18 years ago. Without its Community Service Grants, massage would not be possible for so many people in need. I am so proud to be on Team MTF and raising money for MTF.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout this journey so far. I cannot wait to cross the finish line at the Boston Marathon on April 18th. Please considering donating to the Massage Therapy Foundation to help make the world a better place!
